Farmers Union campers reunion in Bailey, Colo.

A two-day reunion for all former Rocky Mountain Farmers Union (RMFU) campers and their families is scheduled for June 15-16, 2002, at the Farmers Union Education Center in Bailey, Colo. Anyone who has attended an RMFU camp at Red Rocks in Colorado Springs or Bailey is welcome!

This reunion is primarily meant to renew acquaintances and friendships that may have been lost over time. It is also meant to simply get together and have fun. Activities include singing, square and round dancing, and hiking. As well, there will be discussion about what can be done to assist RMFU in its varied programs. Many former campers are no longer farmers but want to continue their awareness of issues impacting the family producers.

We do not have the names and addresses of all the former campers. With help from the RMFU community getting the word out to as many former campers as possible, the turnout will make for a great weekend! Activities begin Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m., June 15, and run through Sunday lunch, June 16. Come for any or all of the time. If attending the entire time, a package is available that includes four meals and an overnight for $25; ages 5-12 is $15; and children four years and younger are free. For more information and/or a registration form, contact the RMFU office (303) 752-5800 or e-mail rmfu@rmfu.org.
