Funding for farmer/rancher wellness events:
A primary commitment of the Agwell initiative within the Rocky Mountain Farmers Union is increasing opportunities for social connection among farmers, ranchers, and farmworkers. We currently have resources available for Rocky Mountain Farmers Union Chapters interested in hosting wellness-oriented gatherings or gatherings specifically for social connection.
The only requirement for chapters to receive these resources is they must commit to discussing a topic pertaining to holistic wellness. This can be done in any format that suits your needs.
Please choose from the following options below to indicate the type of event that most resembles the event you would like to host. We understand every event is unique. If there is a need for more funds to accomplish your event this can be discussed with RMFU Staff.
- Coffee Connection- (up to 100 dollars) Host a coffee and pastry event or series of events for farmers to check in with each other in an informal setting. Alternatively, delivery of coffee and pastries and a quick check in with farmers is also valid.
- Pizza for Producers Style Event – (Up to 300 dollars) Gather producers over a meal and a discussion of a specific wellness topic. Wellness topics can include physical, mental, financial, and spiritual.
- Wellness Activity Event – (Up to 400 dollars) Host a wellness event that suits the interest or needs of your chapter, i.e, yoga, meditation, horticulture/equine therapy event.
- AgWell Oriented Training or Workshop – (This could involve inviting speakers, collaborating with other organizations, and hosting a more structured event i.e. financial wellness, physical wellness, nutrition, stress management, suicide prevention. Up to 500 dollars.
- Other – Have an idea for a bigger event? Let us know the basics here, and we’ll work with you to figure it out!
All funding applications must be submitted by March 31st, 2026.
All events must take place by June 30th, 2026.
