Rocky Mountain Farmers Union is in search of a new and dynamic Membership Director. This is a key staff role that works closely with other RMFU Departments, Farmers Union Service Association Agents, and volunteer members across Colorado, New Mexico, and Wyoming. The job is broken into three key areas: Membership Recruitment, Membership Engagement, and Special Projects.
The Membership Director manages a small team of Membership Coordinators and Field Representatives. This is a high travel position, requiring significant time in the field with members and chapters, and the occasional national or international travel for advocacy or educational events.
As a grassroots organization, our members are at the center of everything we do. We are looking for someone who is excited to seize the unique opportunities to build community within each of our chapters, initiate new strategies for reaching perspective members and build networks in real-life and digital spaces. The position is full-time with compensation $40,000-$60,000, commensurate with experience. A comprehensive benefits package is available which includes health, dental, vision and 401k. Applicants must be prepared to reside along the Front Range or in eastern Colorado. Remote work options available after first year.

Invitation to Apply: Drought Advisors Project Manager
We are in search of a dynamic Project Manager for the Colorado Agricultural Drought Advisors. Drought Advisors is a collaboration between Rocky Mountain Farmers Union, Colorado State University, Colorado Ag. Water Alliance, the Ditch and Reservoir Company Alliance, and others. This position is being offered by the Rocky Mountain Farmers Union and is funded through a grant from the Colorado Water Conservation Board.
Purpose of the Position
This position will manage tasks, deliverables, and reporting associated with the CWCB Drought Advisors Capacity and Research Project. This position will work with RMFU staff, CSU, and Drought Advisor partners to convene regular meetings, coordinate educational programming, and oversee and execute the Drought Planning and Incentives Program.
The Drought Advisors project does not aim to promote specific practices or agendas. Instead, we join producers as thought partners who help develop drought plans and access resources that fit the needs of individual operations.
Who Should Apply?
Applicants should have a passion for working with farmers and ranchers and an understanding of the impacts drought has on producers. Strong leadership and organizational skills will be essential to coordinating a group ag. professionals and volunteers and offer services to farmer and ranchers.
Salary shall be based on an .75 FTE annualized salary of $38,000 and have access to all employee benefits including, medical, dental, vison, 401k contribution, paid vacation, etc.
