Bill Daughtery – Candidate for District III

My name is Bill Daughtery. I grew up on a fourth-generation farm which produced dry land crops and a cattle operation with my family near Pine Bluffs. I graduated from Pine Bluffs High School, attended Western Wyoming Community College. After an extensive career in the oil and gas industry working in different areas across the United States, I moved home and with my wife have raised six boys on the farm who will be the future of our operation and generations to come with our family.

I have worked as farm manager with a family- owned large scale multigenerational ag operation for over ten years near Albin Wyoming. As wheat producers we cover dry land, irrigated, conventional, and mostly organic farming practices. With crop rotations we are looking for different crops that will work in the rotations with wheat the base crop. My family has been active with Rocky Mountain Farmers Union for decades. I have been involved with youth programs and leadership camps, I have attended many years of conventions and workshops working with policy and member engagement. I’ve served as a delegate to state convention representing our Laramie County chapter and currently Vice President. I completed the RMFU Fellows class and have also been a national delegate at National Farmers Union convention advocating for our members of RMFU. Being involved with wheat production I am serving on the board of directors for the Wyoming Wheat Growers Association and on the Wyoming Wheat Marketing Commission to help promote the industry. With the National Association of Wheat Growers I completed the Leadership At Its Best program in 2025. Agriculture is my passion in every way of daily life.

Rocky Mountain Farmers Union has been a huge influence in my life personally and professionally. I am running for District 3 board member covering Wyoming to give back to this great organization for the years of support and experiences that I have been involved with.
