Common Sense Oil and Gas Reform
The Bureau of Land Management finalized a common-sense oil and gas rule that:
Ensures oil and gas companies, not taxpayers, are held accountable for paying to clean up the mess they leave behind after drilling;
Protects public lands and resources by steering drilling away from important fish and wildlife, recreation, and cultural sites;
Increases fair returns to taxpayers for leasing and drilling that takes place on public lands;
Limits the industry’s ability to tie up public lands in leases where drilling will never occur.
Help us stop reckless attempts to roll back the oil and gas rule at the expense of hard-working families and public lands.
