Everyone is welcome! We will discuss policy from 3-5:30 pm, then we’ll have a potluck picnic on the patio. We’ll provide burgers, brats, beer, and a few sides. Please bring something to share!
This is a great opportunity to learn about local, state, and federal policy issues that impact food and farm systems in New Mexico. This event is also a great place to have your voice heard on these issues. RMFU is a democratic membership based organization.
Members have a say in what gets added to our policy book, and what issues are advocated for at various levels of government.
Additionally, when you join the Rocky Mountain Farmers Union you benefit from a variety of member services and discounts offered by Rocky Mountain Farmers Union and National Farmers Union. But you’re not the only one who benefits – your membership dues also support a wide variety of educational opportunities, cooperative services, and farmer/rancher advocacy. By becoming a member, you’re helping to build an organization that stands up for family farmers and ranchers.
If you have questions or if you have policy you would like to discuss, you can email the New Mexico policy representative, Charlie Hibner at
charleshibner0@gmail.com. If you have questions about the event, you can email or call Sarah Wentzel-Fisher at 505-280-9879 or
sarah@quiviracoalition.org.
Bringing your policy-curious farmer friends is encouraged!
