Roaring Fork Farmers and Ranchers Fall Policy Meeting

If you would like to learn more about and participate with RMFU’s grassroots policy setting process and our chapter’s ability to shape it, please join any of this series of meetings over the next few months as we lead up to RMFU’s Annual Convention in November.

Each meeting will review a section of the current RMFU Policy Manual with the goal of creating policy suggestions that will help serve our local agricultural community. Our chapter will elect delegates during our chapter convention meeting at the end of September/beginning of October (date TBD). Delegates will then take the policy suggestions created at these meetings and decide what to submit or bring to the floor at RMFU convention.
We will also teach and practice skills, such as following Robert’s Rules of Order, to help us all be better advocates, whether serving on boards, attending local government meetings, or as delegates with RMFU.
NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE OR POLICY KNOWLEDGE IS NEEDED, the goal of these meetings is to demystify this process.
