Please bring a folding chair if you own one.
Agenda:
5:30-6pm: social and soup time (soup eating will begin as soups and eaters arrive, but doesn’t have to stop)
6pm: “speeches” from those running for officer positions. in quotes because each candidate will share for a max of 2 minutes on why they are excited to serve on the RFFR officer team, very casual!
see below for details on officer positions
6:30: formal voting and raffle for a fun surprise prize!
6:35: hanging out continues till Harper kicks us out.
Souper Bowl details:
Please bring a bowl and a spoon for yourself to eat out of, there will be limited disposable products
Bring a soup to share, or a complementing side. This is not a competition because all soup is great soup, but you may win the glory of people continuing to reminisce on how tasty your soup was…
Bring soup warm and ready to eat.
Last year we had some serious leftovers, so please bring a couple empty tupperwares with you
To confirm the importance of the above points: I recently uncovered some of Harper’s medicinal meatball soup in my freezer. It was even more delicious a year later and I’m convinced it’s the reason I haven’t succumbed to the recent illnesses going around.
Officer Election Details:
We will be holding elections for all positions! Some incumbents may be interested in re-election, but we want to invite interest in all roles. At the very least, due to my recent career shift and the stipulations of our bylaws, this is my last presidential email! Come to the meeting to see if I toss my hat into the ring for another officer role 🙂
If you are interested in running for a position, please simply prepare a quick list of reasons you are excited to serve to share with the group.
You must be present to vote, BUT IF YOU CANNOT MAKE THE MEETING, you can still seek election and have someone speak on your behalf.
If you are interested in being more involved, BUT feel intimidated please reach out to any current or former officers to discuss more.
General Commitment for RFFR officers:
Serve a full year term
Attend 2-3 officer meetings a year
Support and attend 4 RFFR meetings a year
Be in regular communication with other officers
Be a dues paying member of Rocky Mountain Farmers Union and National Young Farmers Coalition.
