What could be if we all worked together to create, thriving, healthy, local food systems in our beautiful state?
At the Rocky Mountain Farmers Union, we’re daring to dream. In 2017, we partnered with Nourish Colorado and the University of Colorado Colorado Springs to learn more about Colorado’s Farm to Institution success stories from Farm to Early Care and K-12, Colleges and Universities, and Hospitals. To share the results of this inquiry, we created this three-video series that can be included into inservice training sessions aimed at food service teams, managers, and procurement specialists, as well as educators who may be interested in pursuing local foods for their institutions.

The Farm to Early Care and K-12 video covers the possibility that lies in building a farm-to-school program, and the benefits for farms, producers, students, and schools alike.
This, our third video, focuses on the possibility of healthy foods procured locally and the positive impact a thriving food system can have on individuals going through health challenges.
