Hunter Wills

Hunter Wills is a third-year animal science major at Colorado State University. He is passionate about livestock, including meat and dairy production and management, as well as animal behavior.

Hunter’s background didn’t originally include livestock. He got involved with livestock through his high school’s FFA program, where he fell in love with large animal management. He worked and interned at 2222 Veterinary Clinic in Austin, Texas for two and a half years and received his Certified Veterinary Assistant Level 1 certification. He has also volunteered with rescue animals and is taking a course about retraining rescue horses. Hunter is currently a student lead at Colorado State University’s Global Food Innovation Center and helps with the school’s farm’s lambing and calving season overnight shifts.

Outside of school, Hunter enjoys cooking, playing the trumpet, and riding horses. As Hunter’s graduation approaches this spring, he is excited for what career his passions will bring him to.
