Jenna Anderson – Candidate for District III

My name is Jenna Anderson. My husband and I farm 650 acres of corn, barley, alfalfa, and sugar beets in the Wind River Valley west of Riverton, Wyoming. I am a 4th generation agriculturist, our family farm in New York celebrated its one hundredth year in 2024. I grew up on a cattle ranch in Montana. I attended school there as well as in Connecticut, Colorado, and Wyoming. I earned my teaching riding certificate, an AA degree in Equine Management and my teaching degree in secondary education. I taught for many years while my boys were growing up and now I am full time on the farm.

Throughout the years I have sat on multiple boards and committees. I have been the president of Fremont County Cattlewomen. After being the county director for Big Brothers Big Sister of Northwest Wyoming, I was a board member for a term.  I was on the Fremont County 4H council for two terms, and was a certified 4H leader. I sat on our Soccer Association Board for many years. I have been a member of our FFA alumni group for 8 years. I was a Kiwanian and continue to volunteer in our community.

I am running for the RMFU board seat for Division 3 to learn, to be more involved,  and to help be the voice for our local farmers and ranchers. I am  passionate about education and love teaching kids and adults about agriculture. I am passionate about Ag Well and the work being done to address the mental health of agricultural workers. It is important to me that I be an advocate for agriculture and I look forward to continued involvement in RMFU.
