Jon has had a passion for agriculture from a very young age, starting with 4-H market steer projects. While in high school and FFA, Jon began purchasing Angus females to run with his family’s Registered Angus operation. He attended college in Dickinson, ND, after high school and then returned to the family Angus operation after a brief tenure in the construction industry. Through those years, he earned many awards from herd sire production, sales, and major livestock events.
After years of drought, the choice was made to downsize the operation. Jon obtained employment in the sales arena, spending numerous years in livestock nutrition. Being blessed to consider the insurance profession and the many opportunities offered in this industry have allowed Jon to stay close to agriculture. He has met many great people and created lasting friendships while attaining numerous awards, such as All-American producer and New Agent of the year.
Moving into the future, Jon is so pleased to have the passion he does for agriculture. He and Angel hope to pass down their smaller agriculture operation to some of their grandchildren. They also hope to help other obtain the experiences and fulfillment that agriculture and the insurance industry has afforded them.
