President’s Podium – County Convention Season

From RMFU President Chad Franke:

“October is county convention season! My inbox is swamped with notices of county conventions, and it’s exciting to see so many chapters getting together in preparation for our annual convention in Greeley! I apologize that I won’t make many of them. In an ideal world, I would be at every county meeting, but due to the scheduling of national and state board meetings and some extreme travel distances, that isn’t going to happen. I do, however, look forward to seeing everyone in Greeley!

We will again have an exciting convention, with two members running for an open Vice President position, two bylaws change proposals, election of delegates to the NFU Convention in Arizona in March, and adoption of the three state and federal policies that will continue to drive our advocacy over the next year, just like they have for well over a century, and will as we move through our 2nd Century as a grassroots farm organization. You will also see an announcement that the board has worked on for several years. And as always, our excellent staff has put together a fantastic lineup of speakers and topics so everyone will have something that they can take away from the convention!”
