RMFU scholarship recipients announced

DENVER—Rocky Mountain Farmers Union (RMFU) is announcing the ten Colorado recipients who will receive RMFU post-secondary education scholarships in 2001-02. The total value of the scholarships is $10,000.

“These recipients comprise a group of bright young leaders who are highly deserving,” said RMFU Education Director Andrea Clark. “I think we should expect great things from these young folks. RMFU is very proud to have them among our membership!”

Recipients of the 2001-02 scholarships in the amount of $1000 each are:

From Ault, Kendra Wolf, daughter of Randy and Kathy Wolf, receives the Joey Skurich Memorial Scholarship, with $500 endowed by the Skurich family and $500 contributed by the RMFU Service Association.

From Denver, Ann Mailander, daughter of Bob and Rita Mailander, is awarded the James G. Patton Memorial Scholarship.

From Fleming, Candice Wisdom, daughter of Kent and Dorothy Wisdom, receives the Rocky Mountain Farmers Union Scholarship.

From Holyoke, Laura Mailander, daughter of Paul and Teresa Mailander, is awarded the Farmers Union Service Association Scholarship.

From Hotchkiss, Kristy Smith, daughter of Mark and Tammy Smith, receives the Farmers Union Service Association Scholarship.

From Limon, Ashley Parker, daughter of Kipp and Paula Parker, receives the Maurice Parker Memorial Scholarship, with $500 endowed Morgan County Farmers Union and $500 contributed by the RMFU Service Association.

From Matheson, Michael Kochis, son of Virgil and Jan Kochis, is awarded the Farmers Union Service Association Scholarship.

From Vernon, Jeffrey Wingfield, son of Dean and Pam Wingfield, receives the Edna Buchanan Memorial Scholarship.

From Weldona, Christine Covelli, daughter of Bradly & Francine Covelli, is awarded the Hazel Hemphill Memorial Scholarship, with $500 endowed by Morgan County Farmers Union and $500 contributed by the RMFU Service Association.

From Westminster, Joanna Carter, daughter of Dave and Sue Carter, is awarded the James G. Patton Memorial Scholarship.
